I shot this image of our outdoor thermometer at about 5:30 this morning. Good thing there was no wind, otherwise it would have been almost too cold.

This is a neat effect I came across (the first time I saw it was when my wife was watching CSI) wherein an element and it's surroundings are tweaked to mimic miniature/model photography.
I've been collecting these great old photos for years. I've got hundreds of them and have yet to figure out what to do with them. Do I create some large-scale oil paintings based on them? Or do I scan & digitally alter them into something else? What I do NOT want to do is damage or compromise the originals in any way via a collage or multi-media piece utilizing the actual photographs.A chock-a-block grab bag of thoughts, paintings, projects, sketches, notes, cocktail napkin doodlings, half-baked manifestos and (possibly) somewhat interesting observations on the current state of creativity.
