Some Winter Paintings

These are a few of my favorite (winter) paintings. I don't know why I prefer the fall & winter landscapes over those of spring & summer, but there's something about the "skeleton" of the land that I find quite appealing.

I had to share this awesome piece created at Baekdal.com.

The Eternal Struggle

This is a cartoon I clipped out of some magazine 20+ years ago. I have carried it with me everywhere I have worked out of (it looks like a Sam Gross piece but I'm not sure). It's as relevant to me today as it was when I first discovered it.

FOUND IMAGES

I've been collecting these great old photos for years. I've got hundreds of them and have yet to figure out what to do with them. Do I create some large-scale oil paintings based on them? Or do I scan & digitally alter them into something else? What I do NOT want to do is damage or compromise the originals in any way via a collage or multi-media piece utilizing the actual photographs.

Nothing Like The Classics

Having been raised on classic Warner Bros. cartoons (I wasn't ever into Mickey Mouse) I was really excited to come across these painted lead figures in an antique store a while back.

Relics

A selection of my brushes. Victims of the digital age, sadly. I use them when I get the chance but not nearly enough to satisfy me.
