Two Large Canvases

Great Blue - I saw this huge beautiful bird in the Mississippi backwaters near our place in Galena.

This still scene was captured one incredibly cold afternoon in the country.

A preliminary pencil

This is an example of the usual pencil sketch I do before diving headlong into a portrait.
Not only do I do it for the client's approval, but also to work out any value & detail issues ahead of time.

A couple of things here - not quite sure what to do with them.
They kind of represent opposite ends of the spectrum, but I'm fond of both so I really don't want to bury them.

Uncle Creepy's Crypt

This is a recent piece done as a visual aid for a company looking to license the old Warren Publishing characters Uncle Creepy & Cousin Eerie as a Halloween attraction.
I hope this proceeds, as it would be a great project to further develop.
